The Bombay mango, often called the Alphonso mango, is an expensive and highly sought-after variety of mango that comes from India. It has a reputation for having a great flavour, aroma, and silky texture. The Bombay mango is normally oval or slightly flattened in shape, and it ranges in size from medium to large. It is frequently characterised as having a special combination of sweetness and a smidgen of acidity that gives it a flavour that is well-balanced. Its attraction is increased by the strong fruity scent.

Climate and soil

Mangoes do well in warm, tropical climates with rich soil. They are mostly grown in Nepal's southern plains, which have a subtropical environmentTemperatures between 24°C and 27°C are ideal for mango tree growth and fruiting. The soil should have plenty of organic content and be well-draining.

Watering

Mango trees that are young require constant watering, especially during dry spells. Mango trees can tolerate some drought after they are established, but constant watering is necessary for healthy fruit development.

Fertilizer

Regular fertilisation is beneficial to mango trees. To promote flowering and fruiting, use balanced fertiliser formulas that are richer in potassium and phosphorus. Depending on the state of the soil, fertilisation frequency and quantity may change.
