Plants for Beginners!

Do you ever feel like you are interested in plants but not ready enough to grow them by yourself? Or that you have tried but have never been successful in keeping them alive? If you are new to the world of plants and have started showing interest in them, then we have got you covered! Here are five easy to care for plants that are perfect for beginners. Start your journey of plant parenthood with these amazing plants!

Pothos:

One of the go-to plants for beginners has to be Pothos. Among the varieties of Pothos, Neon pothos is my favorite! There is something about the neon color that makes me go crazy for this plant. Pothos is the most forgiving low maintenance houseplants. There’s a reason why they are known as Devil’s Ivy. You can go days without watering them and they still won’t complain. If you are a busy plant parent, then don’t worry, pothos can thrive in low water and low light conditions as well.  Also if you are someone who is always chasing after your dreams, then pothos is the right choice for you! It's because pothos symbolizes perseverance and chasing dreams that come from their ability to stay determined at growing their vines long and trail freely. Make sure to make hanging arrangements for pothos to reach new limits and heights in life.

                                

    

ZZ:

Another popular low-maintenance house plant has to be the ZZ plant for sure! The first time I heard about this plant was from my supervisor. The long oval-shaped, dark glossy leaves are surely the attractive feature of this plant. ZZ is the most adaptable houseplants when it comes to sunlight exposure. It can thrive well in any light conditions, be it low or bright light. It’s also drought-tolerant, meaning it can still survive in less watering conditions. When watering, make sure the soil is dry to the touch. This much care is enough to witness a healthy plant with green, glossy, and luscious spiky leaves. 

   

Spider Plant:

Spider plants are by far the cutest plants I have come across. I also have a few spider plants in my house. All thanks to my mom's little care and lots of love that they are in good condition. It’s amazing how this plant got its name in the first place. During the blooming seasons, this plant produces tiny white flowers and offsets known as 'pups' which look like tiny spiders hanging in the web. In the case of sunrise exposures, spider plants prefer bright indirect lights but they are adaptable to low light conditions as well. In case they are exposed to bright direct light, make sure to mist the leaves with water to avoid the leaves from burning. For watering, make sure the soil is dry before the next watering because spider plants don’t prefer soggy soil. You can also indicate water or sunlight problems when its leaves turn brown. Also for a beautiful sight, place them in a hanging basket and witness the tiny spiders fall/hang in the stem. 

                            

Anthurium:

Anthuriums have my heart! Among the varieties of anthuriums, Black Love is my favorite. Black love is the true definition of elegance. Its glossy and oval-shaped black leaves make it look very classy and bold. It surely is perfect for decorating your room or office for an aesthetic touch. Anthurium can tolerate low light conditions however the only problem is the blooms and growth can be slower. So, it's best to provide them with bright indirect sunlight. Also, water only when the soil is dry to the touch. With less effort and little care, you will soon witness yellowish oval-shaped blooms from this plant.

                                    

Snake Plant:

Snake plant is another houseplant that is perfect for beginners. They portray themselves as bold and strong but are also one of the most forgiving houseplants. Don’t go by the name, they are the coolest plants ever, who are always ready to match your aesthetics. When it comes to taking care of this plant, you don’t have to worry much. They adapt in any light conditions be it shady, bright, or indirect sunlight conditions. Always make sure to dry the soil before the next watering. In the summertime, water them in two weeks, whereas in the winter watering should be rest because this houseplant likes to rest during this time. Keep this plant anywhere in your bedroom, living room, or office space for purifying air quality and welcoming positive and great energies only.
