Calathea thrives well in bright indirect Light. Direct sunlight can easily burn their leaves.
Apply water only when the soil is 2 inches dry from the surface. Excess water can be detrimental. However, they prefer a good humid environment.
The Soil need to be fertile and well drained where there is no water logging. Fertile soil rich in humus can be prepared.
Feed monthly in the spring, summer, and fall with a balanced plant food diluted to ½ the recommended strength.
